Emirates Steel was established in 1995 in Abu Dhabi Industrial area. The production facility is located at Musaffah, Abu Dhabi to manufactures MS Steel Billets for Rebar rolling mills. The company commenced production of steel billets in 1998 with a capacity of 24,000 TPA. It holds the distinction of being first of its kind in UAE.
In 2004, the company expanded its production capacity by setting up its 2nd unit with a manufacturing capacity of 36,000 TPA of MS Billets, taking the total production capacity to 60,000 TPA of MS billets. In 2019, company expanded further by commissioning its 3rd unit of steel production, taking the aggregate capacity to 135,000 TPA of MS billets. The production facility comprises of Induction furnaces and Continous caster and has state-of-the-art technology to produce steel billets through Induction furnace route. The main raw material used is Heavy Metal Scrap (HMS) which is sourced locally.
Billets produced at the facility, are 6 meters in length and 100x100 or 130x130 section conforming to BS:4449/ASTM A615 Grade-40/Grade-60. Company is also certified with IS9001 : 2015 for product and processes to produce low carbon mild steel billets.
